- Open the CarModApps program.
- In the very top right, find and tap the gear icon
- At the very bottom, tap System Settings
- Look for "Date and Time."
- Uncheck the automatic time zone option and select your own.
The main clock in your car is not located on the Android system, but on a separate, dedicated processor within the telematics unit. This processor is responsible for remote vehicle control from the app, and its time is what's displayed on the steering wheel screen. The time on this unit
must be set to Beijing time! Otherwise, problems are guaranteed. On the Android system, following the instructions above, you only need to change the
Time Zone to your current one. This will ensure the time on the larger screens is correct, and the system functions as intended.
